DRILL’s journey is also reflected in the stories, conversations and features that emerge beyond our immediate community.

This section highlights media features, interviews, publications, event coverage and other mentions of DRILL and its work in the wider community. It provides an opportunity to explore how our programmes, people, initiatives and ideas are being received and shared beyond the Academy.

The Hub

Drill Intellectuals' Hub

Our Story Beyond Our Walls

The DRILL Intellectuals’ Hub is a community created for curious and intentional minds who believe that continuous learning is essential to personal and professional growth.

Through books, articles, thought-provoking conversations, intellectual discussions and shared experiences, the Hub provides a space for members to read deeply, think critically, exchange perspectives and engage with ideas that matter. We go beyond simply reading books. We explore the ideas behind them, challenge our assumptions, learn from different perspectives and ask the most important question:

How can what we learn change the way we live, work and contribute?

The Hub may feature reading sessions, book discussions, intellectual conversations, reviews, curated resources, guest sessions and reflections across areas such as leadership, psychology, business, career development, society, relationships, personal development and human behaviour.

Ultimately, the DRILL Intellectuals Hub exists to cultivate people who are not merely knowledgeable, but thoughtful, curious, discerning and capable of turning knowledge into meaningful action.

Alumni

Alumni Community

Becoming a DRILL participant is not simply completing a programme. It is becoming part of a growing community of people who have chosen to learn intentionally, develop themselves and make a difference.

Through the Alumni Community, former participants can remain connected to DRILL and to one another through:

Alumni events and intellectual conversations
Mentorship and peer support
Career and professional opportunities
Learning and development initiatives
Volunteering and service opportunities
Community-impact projects
DRILL Foundation initiatives
Networking and collaboration

We also encourage our alumni to return as mentors, facilitators, Build-Up Buddies, volunteers and contributors, creating a cycle in which those who were once developed can help develop others.

You may complete a DRILL programme, but you don't graduate from growth.

Ambassadors

Drill Ambassadors

The DRILL Ambassadors are distinguished members of the DRILL alumni community who have demonstrated exceptional growth, character, competence, leadership and impact following their DRILL experience.

Participation in DRILL is the beginning of a journey. Over time, some participants distinguish themselves through the way they apply what they have learned, excel in their pursuits, lead others and contribute meaningfully to society.

Such individuals may be recognised as DRILL Ambassadors. The designation is not simply a title. It represents a standard of conduct, achievement and continued commitment to the values of DRILL.

DRILL Ambassadors may serve as:

Role models to current participants
Mentors and peer advisers
Facilitators and speakers
Representatives of the DRILL community
Contributors to DRILL programmes and initiatives
Champions of community-impact projects
Connectors between DRILL and relevant organisations, institutions and opportunities

Through their achievements and continued engagement, Ambassadors demonstrate what can happen when learning is translated into action and development into impact.
