How We Serve
Community-Impact Initiatives
Through carefully designed community-impact initiatives, DRILL participants can take their knowledge beyond the classroom and into communities where it can become useful. These initiatives may include:
The objective is to develop a culture of responsible citizenship and practical leadership. Participants are encouraged to identify needs, develop solutions, work collaboratively, engage communities respectfully and take responsibility for the outcomes of their interventions.
In this way, the Foundation becomes an extension of the DRILL learning experience: What is learned in DRILL should find expression beyond DRILL.
The Foundation also creates an opportunity for DRILL alumni, ambassadors, volunteers, facilitators, partners and other stakeholders to continue contributing to causes that align with the Academy’s broader vision of human development and positive social transformation.
Ultimately, we want participants to leave DRILL with more than certificates and knowledge.
