Michael Afuye is an instructor at The Drill Capacity Building Academy. As an instructor, Michael has impacted the lives of many young Nigerian youths – graduates and undergraduates alike through the numerous programs organized by the Academy. Before joining the Academy, he contributed to various socio-development initiatives such as personal mentorship programs for students and graduates and teaching sessions for students of the Nigerian Law School. In 2022, Michael was among the team that facilitated a bootcamp for over a hundred secondary school students in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State. He believes that the world will be a better place if young people are equipped with the right values and virtues. His interests include mentoring young people to become the best version of themselves.
Professionally, Michael works as a legal practitioner. His practice spans arbitration, commercial litigation, and transactional advisory work, with experience in real estate disputes, third-party funding arrangements, and actions on the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards.
Aside from professional work, Michael speaks publicly and engages in sports, especially football.
